Frequently asked questions
The things people ask before they book. If your question is not here, call or text and you will get a straight answer.
Do you come to me?
Yes, the whole service is mobile. We service Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gracemere and the Capricorn Coast, and we work at driveways, worksites and yards.
Do I need to be there while you work?
No. As long as there is access to the vehicle and a safe space to work, you can be at work or out for the day. Access arrangements get confirmed when we book you in.
Do you bring your own water and power?
Yes. The setup runs self contained so we are not relying on your tap or your power point. If using a connection on site is simpler on the day, we will ask first.
What is the difference between a standard ute, a 4WD SUV and a super ute?
It comes down to surface area and clearance. A standard ute is a dual cab like a Hilux, Ranger or Navara. A 4WD SUV is a wagon such as a Prado, Patrol or LandCruiser. A super ute is a bigger unit again, usually a 79 Series, a tray back with a canopy, or a lifted rig carrying a full touring setup.
Which package do I need?
If the rig is just back from a trip and carrying mud or salt, start with the Trail Maintenance. If dirt is baked into the paint and ground into the carpets, it is the Mud and Clay Recovery. If you want the whole vehicle machine polished and sealed, that is the Adventure Prep and Protect. If you are selling, the Pre-Sale Tidy is built for presentation.
Can you get red dirt out of carpets and seats?
That is what the commercial wet extraction is for. Heavy fabric agitation followed by extraction pulls ground in dirt and sand out rather than pushing it deeper into the backing.
How long does ceramic sealant last?
The premium hand applied panel sealant used in the Mud and Clay Recovery and the Adventure Prep and Protect gives 6 months of durable protection. The spray on hydrophobic sealant in the lighter packages is a shorter term coating for gloss and water beading.
What is the underbody shield?
It is an invisible clear barrier applied in the Adventure Prep and Protect that chemically locks out salt water for 3 months, which is what stops the frame rust that beach runs cause.
Do you detail engine bays?
Yes, in the Adventure Prep and Protect and the Pre-Sale Tidy. Bays are degreased, rinsed and protected with a heat resistant dressing.
Do you do fleet or business vehicles?
Yes. There is a scheduled maintenance plan with fixed per vehicle pricing, a free demo detail on a vehicle of your choosing and a 30 day trial before you commit to anything ongoing.
How do I get a quote?
Fill in the quote form with your rig details, or call or text. Final quote depends on vehicle size and vehicle condition, so a couple of photos help us give you an accurate number first time.
What if my rig is filthier than a package allows for?
Tell us up front and send photos. We would rather quote the real job than turn up and renegotiate in your driveway.
Still got a question about your rig?
Send the make, model and what it has been through. We will tell you exactly what it needs.
